Daniel Stane

Daniel brings 20 years of experience as an international executive coach, facilitator and consultant to the Symmetra team.

Based in London, Daniel works globally – often with UK and US based multinationals and public bodies – across diverse sectors including consumer goods, manufacturing, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and technology. Recent clients include Accenture, British Airways, Cisco, Diageo, Microsoft, Nestle, Pernod Ricard, Pratt Whitney, Unilever and WPP group.

Daniel has built a reputation as an inspirational facilitator in the field of Diversity and Inclusion, consistently receiving excellent feedback from clients. His style is practical, motivating and insightful, integrating an application of emotional intelligence and potential-oriented psychology to support executives to embed an inclusive workplace culture to leverage diversity of thought for improved performance.

As a certified coach, Daniel also works with executives and corporate people managers to become high performing, authentic leaders drawing on his personal career success as a senior international manager. He has a pragmatic and personable approach to unlocking blind spots in leaders positioning them to counteract bias in the workplace and to improve the quality of their everyday decisions.

Daniel has a deep interest and track record in improving gender, generational and culture balance through awareness of individual and corporate unconscious bias, and building a more mindful and sustainable approach to leadership and decision making. Daniel has published many articles on leadership, diversity and inclusion, and has contributed to a recent book on Global Inclusion with a chapter focused on innovation and employee engagement.

Speaking several European languages, Daniel has a passion for working across cultures and is able to understand and connect well with a diverse range of nationalities and cultural contexts. Daniel is also experienced as a client engagement lead overseeing major client programmes from design, through to implementation and project management.

He is a volunteer facilitator and mentor on the International Leadership Programmes run by an educational charity affiliated to the United Nations.
