Kimberly Clouthier

Kimberly has been leading and coaching people and teams for a myriad of industries including F&B, healthcare, government, telecom, finance, and not-for-profits in the US, Europe and Australia for over 20 years.

In her 20’s she she began her career on the creative side of the team, as a professional food photographer in New York City. Consulting globally in her 30’s she worked on creative campaigns with most of the major advertising agencies including Saatchi and Saatchi, Ogilvy and Mather, JWT, Euro RSCG, Scholz and Friends, and Leo Burnett. Her specialty is clear communication, and she believes, as Peter Drucker once said, “The most important thing in communicating is to hear what isn’t being said” and notice what’s missing!

One thing she noticed was missing in marketing was an eye to the future, so in her 40’s Kimberly completed her post-graduate degree in Futures Studies. This shift led to a career change and an opportunity to pursue her passion for people by moving into the diversity and inclusion space.

She has been working as a D&I consultant with Symmetra since 2013. Her experience in the sector and across all of Symmetra’s programs and tools (many of which she has helped design and deliver) guarantee effective project implementation. Kimberly has also designed leadership programs on flexible working and remote teams, psychological safety, cross-cultural intelligence, unconscious bias and principles of inclusion; coached the C-Suite on inclusiveness at the individual and organisational level; managed major global projects; and developed interactive learning content for Symmetra’s E-Challenge online learning platform.

Kimberly’s unique ability to blend her creative expertise and business acumen enables her to identify opportunities to transform culture and performance by developing and then implementing evidence based, practical and sustainable interventions and solutions.

With a love for change, Kimberly has lived and worked throughout the United States, Eastern Europe, Greece, and Australia, where she now resides on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney. To balance her energetic work life she sails, sculpts, keeps bees and chickens, and founded a non-profit that empowers young people to make life-affirming choices.
