Monika de Waal

Monika brings a very high level of consulting, facilitation and coaching skills in the diversity, inclusion and intercultural space to the Symmetra team.

She is a specialist in organisational development, change and strategic management with a long-term commitment to embedding an inclusive workplace culture. Her focus is on creating opportunities for dialogue in complex organisations undergoing change with a core interest in organisational development, process consulting and in personal mastery.

Monika has garnered a wealth of experience working with clients who come from diverse backgrounds, industries and economic sectors. Both in the corporate sector as well as with local and international governments where programs have included a fusion of leadership , change, HR implementation, business ethics, teambuilding, unconscious bias, inter-cultural negotiation and conflict management. Industries span IT, Automotive, Transport, Chemical, Gas, Engineering and Electronics, Healthcare and uniformed organisations.

She also has designed and delivered multicultural training programs in the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore and all over Europe. She has been a lecturer at the NATO pre Partnerships for Peace Programme for Eastern and Central European Officers from the start in 1991.

Monika is an experienced executive coach and trainer, working with clients using a direct and appreciative approach she ha a focus on empowering individuals and groups to enhance their performance. Developing the capability of leaders has her full attention and spirit hence she has become certified in a range of psychometric instruments or team tools, including Management Drives, Barrett Cultural Transformation Tools, Trialogue, Multiple Intelligences, Intercultural Readiness Check and Symmetra’s Inclusive leadership Index and Team Inclusion Pulse Survey.
